Filippo Pozzato chose Farnese Vini Neri Sottoli for his own revival in 2012, a brave choice determined also by the “familiar-climate” and the team building, the very core of yellow-fluo team activity.
Pozzato, winner of Sanremo 2006, able to win both the Tour and the Giro, is leaving an unlucky season and during the summer has started a long serie of negotiations with different teams.
“I join Farnese Neri. I do that because I feel that’s the right place to relaunch myself. I’ve been always appreciating Scinto’s work, I know he can build and motivate a great group at a great captain’s service [...] A choice lead by instinct, not by money. It’s the best solution to find again my peace of mind and obtain the results I expect, even becouse I want to reward as soon as possible the team’s sponsors, wich I want to thank for investing on me, from Zecchetto to Neri and Sciotti of Farnese. I also want to say thank to all the teams that worked hard to engage me for the next season: Bernaudeau’s Europcar, Damiani’s Lampre, Saxo Bank, Geox, Green Edge”.

A contract that confirmed the high quality of Farnese Vini Neri Sottoli project, who has sponsors and philosophy completely Italian: “We know that our group of young riders is special – Angelo Citracca, team manager of Uci Professional team told – but without Visconti (will be in Movistar for 2012 and 2013) we needed a new captain. Pozzato, a real flag of Italian cycling in the world, is perfect for our project and We are confident we could raise him”. Revival that will be a task of the special sportive director, Luca Scinto:“I like challenges, and Pozzato is our new bet for next season. But i know that we will start with an important advantage. We are working with a talent, a rider who have a great motor so we need only to remember him the rules, the fondamental of his work, ready to be hard on him in moments of difficulty, which often has forgotten who he is and what it can do”- This is the comment of Luca Scinto, happy and ready yet for this new goal: “the next season, with Gatto, Guardini and Pozzato I’m sure we will be able to win other, important races”.
