NICOLE COOKE, A SPECIAL SUCCESS AT TOUR OF ITALY

Fifth stage, final line in Bra square, in the hearth of Verona, the city of the main sponsors Mcipollini-Giambenini.

She searched it, she worked for it and finally she conquered her first success in 2011, in the fifth stage of Tour of Italy for ladies, with the finish line in the central place of Verona, in the heart of the city of the team. A stage without difficulties (from Altedo to Verona, 126 km), translated in a escapes-stage with a wonderful action of Nicole Cooke:
“I’m so happy, this is a special success that give me moral and faith on my possibilities, again, after a difficult spring and a long period of work, day by day, details for details”.
Good sensation for Nicole Cooke, then, that after the finish line she declared her happiness, conquered with an action at 10 km to the arrival, when she guided ten girls in escape, and after alone with Duster (Nederland Bloeit), left at 2 km to the arrival:
“I dedicate this success to my family, but in particular to my team, because they give me always trust and peace, to work without pression. And today, was a perfect day to win”
- yes, a perfect day, in front of all the most important sponsors of the team: Cipollini, Giordana, Giambenini.
A success that confirmed the Mcipollini – Giambenini one of the most important team in race, that now will watch to the following important goal, since this success is only the first step for the program of the team. Meantime, there is the possibility to review the success, on-air on Rai Sport 2 from 7.30 p.m. and this evening on Bike Show program (898 channel of Sky platform) at 9 p.m. Tomorrow, then, there will be the 6th stage, Fontanellato – Piacenza, 128 km with a possible final sprint. Possible, not sure.
